Writer’s House seeks a framework for the life of a sole occupant; a shelter to envelop, a courtyard to inwardly contemplate, a path to navigate, a screen to disguise, a façade to veil.
Architectural articulation throughout is highly considered, featuring detailed joinery, an angled ceiling with high-level windows, carved window treatments, textural material selections, tactile character expressed throughout the home.
Negotiating privacy and public sightlines, a front facing reading/study room blurs the view to the street, the slightly transparent material softly glowing light at night, a beacon of occupancy.
